Once strictly industrial spaces converted to housing in major urban areas, lofts are changing. They're showing up in smaller cities, in new construction and some of them even come with walls.Like any housing situation, their are pros and cons. For the pros, all lofts come with wide open spaces, a unique look, and convenience. For the cons, lack of storage, noise, energy costs, and dicey neighborhoods.

You might be surprise, the market for loft apartments remains steady and strong. Even during real estate downturns. And while they're traditionally been located in major cities such as New York, Chicago and Washington DC. They are showing up in markets outside the nation's urban cores.
